No. Most clients arrive with books in some state of disarray and that is not unusual. Joey contacts your previous accountant, brings records across, and gets things current. You sign one authority form — the rest is handled. The switch typically takes less than a week from the initial call to being set up.
Xero is the default because it keeps your books visible and current throughout the year, not just at year-end. If you are already using something else, we will discuss what makes sense for your situation. The setup and migration are handled for you — you do not need to know the software inside out to get started.
No long-term contract is required. If it is not working, you say so and we part ways without penalty. Around 90% of clients stay year on year — not because they are locked in, but because the arrangement works. The goal is to earn the renewal, not enforce it.
